Antares Auto-Tune DirectX is a legacy Windows plug-in that brings real-time and offline pitch correction to DirectX-compatible digital audio workstations. Designed for monophonic vocals and instruments, it offers both automatic, scale-based tuning and a graphical mode for detailed, note-by-note editing. Adjustable retune speed makes it suitable for subtle, transparent correction or for creative, fast-tuned effects. It runs as an insert or offline process depending on the host and supports key/scale selection, vibrato preservation, and manual pitch curves for precise control. Because the DirectX plug-in format is no longer common, it’s best suited to older Windows DAWs that still support DirectX, or to setups using a compatible wrapper. Ideal for tightening intonation, polishing takes, and achieving signature modern tuning effects, with the caveat that it’s intended for single-note sources and overall latency depends on the host’s buffer settings.
